Neurovascular Release
Neurovascular Release (NVR) was developed by Kier Schumacher, an ATSI Structural Integrator and LMT.
NVR is a gentle manual therapy focused not only on muscles but also on the nerves,
blood vessels, and supportive fascial beds that serve the muscles.
The light and delicate techniques of Neurovascular Release integrate slow, controlled client movement to alleviate tension and
restrictions in the body's neurovascular structures. Intentional movement is an integral part of each treatment session as it promotes
the release of surrounding tissues and dispels the body's perceived need to protect the nerves and blood vessels.
Compression or entrapment of neurovascular structures often causes the related muscles to contract in an attempt to
protect them. These involuntary and repetitive contractions can lead to muscle irritation, tension, and pain. By calming this physical
tension, Neurovascular Release helps modulate and decompress the circulatory and nervous systems, which can improve circulation, comfort,
flexibility, posture, and range of motion.
Neurovascular Release is a useful therapy for treating:
After hearing about the benefits of NVR treatment in 2021, I began studying practice videos, online courses, and written
study materials developed by Kier Schumacher. I've since completed over 220 hours of NVR training including 100 hours of mentored full-day
seminars with Kier Schumacher. Since integrating Neurovascular Release techniques into my daily RMT practice, my clients have expressed
notable positive changes within their bodies, significant reduction of their symptoms, and overwhelming improvement in their quality of
life. I'm committed to continuing my training in this modality due to the indisputable impact it has had on my practice and on my clients'
lives.
